Once again Blind Tiger, Bolton, hosted a killer music filled event. The night included performances from newcomers, Blond Blood and Manchester based quartet Saytr Play.

Up first were local band, Blond Blood. The Bolton made quartet are pretty new to the music scene but have a good number of tracks to back them up. They have something special but need a little more experience in order to perfect their live sound, I feel as they perform at more events this will quickly come, and in a few years they could be something big. The young band definitely has potential and their stage presence was great, they were extremely enthusiastic and interacted well with each other and with their audience. Their sound is unique and energetic, you can listen to their single Harvey Dent on SoundCloud and keep your eye out for their debut EP coming out in the next few weeks. You can also find out more about the band on Facebook. Alternatively you can find them at Night and Day Cafè, Manchester on 21st June.

Saytr Play took to the stage next. The band have an up beat, alternative sound which was reflected by their lively performance. They performed a number of hits including their new single Mothers Love which is available on Spotify and SoundCloud. To mix up their set they treated the crowd to an unreleased song, in addition to performing a few covers of classic tunes which they mixed together in their own unique way, some of the artists covered include David Bowie and Queen. These were certain to get the venue bouncing. The band were clearly passionate about their music, this was mirrored by the vibrancy present through the venue and by their fans. They are playing at a number of venues over summer including Fox Fest in September, taking place in Bolton and Bolton Pride Festival later that month. Others include dates in Wigan, Preston, Warrington and Ramsbottom as well as Blackthorn Festival next month. To find out more look at their Facebook page. Overall the night was a blast, despite it being a quieter one. I really had a great time watching the bands perform and enjoyed every minute of it. I definitely recommend Saytr Play, especially for your summer playlist. Liv X
