Manchester quartet, Dantevilles, took to their hometown stage on Saturday night to perform a wild set at Sound Control. The venue, which is hidden away on Wakefield Street - just off Oxford Road, was packed out by bouncing fans. Support on the night came from local alternative band Cleargreen and Phoebe Green. Greater Manchester band, Cleargreen opened the night with a powerful set. Their alternative sound got the crowd prepped for the high energy night. The group have a pure Mancunian, rock and roll sound to their music, but with a more modern outlook on the classic style. Quickly growing in popularity through the city, the four piece group have headlined a number of shows, including one at the O2 Ritz. The band have a few tunes available on Soundcloud, I imagine they will be around many local venues in the future. Definitely a group to keep your eye out for and have a look out on Facebook . Next on the stage was Phoebe Green, a young vocalist and musician who performed with the backing of her band. The upcoming group have performed at several venues through Manchester and is relatively new to the music scene but is quickly growing in popularity. The band fronted by Phoebe Green have an album titled 02:00 AM available on Spotify and iTunes, the group have a slower sound and are more easy listening. The vibes produced by the music are more chilled out and relaxing. You can find out more on the groups Facebook page.

Up next we're the headlines of the night. The Dantevilles took to the stage just after 9pm, they opened their lively set with 2017 single Graffiti, the killer new song kicked off the night with an energetic atmosphere which radiated through venue. You can find several singles and EPs released by the band on Spotify and iTunes. They have been releasing great content online since 2015 and I imagine there is much more to come. Music produced by the group is vibrant and upbeat - the kind of stuff that makes you want to dance and sing along. In the venue there was an immensely strong mood between the audience and the band, the quartet interacted well with the crowd and at one point invited a lucky fan on to join them, dance and have a laugh (because he kept throwing a beach ball towards the stage) and at one point a good number of fans joined the band on stage for a sing along. The positive vibes present in the small venue were enough to flood a stadium with enthusiasm, and I don't doubt the small band would be able to do this. Continuing their set with other popular songs including Colour and slower hit Tight Lips, in addition to a few new tracks, one titled Havana, the group unquestionably had a set list to impress. Further into the evening, the four piece performed an incredible mashup cover of Good Times by CHIC mixed with a version of Rapper's Delight by Sugarhill Gang. Combining the 80s disco classic and modern hip hop hit worked brilliantly and was a fab way to lead into the closing quarter of the evening. Unfortunately the night had to come to an end, the band decided to go out by performing one of their most popular tunes It Might Be Tomorrow, the catchy song closed the gig on a high and left fans full of energy as they left the venue. Dantevilles will be found through Manchester over the coming months and I wouldn't be surprised if they're going to be attending a few festivals as well, find out more on their Facebook page.

All in all the night was an amazing one, full of brilliant bands and fabulous music. The unforgettable night was a perfect reflection of the amazing atmosphere currently filling every corner of Manchester. I was always told Dantevilles are a must see upcoming Manchester group, and Saturday night confirmed that.
